Level 3 Diploma in Bricklaying
The programme
This course provides the skills and underpinning knowledge you will need to become recognised as a bricklayer. You will gain practical experience in our fully equipped professional workshops. As well as bricklaying, you will learn about complex arches, circular work and openings, various types of detailed walling and complex setting out of building.
You will be required to supply safety footwear.

PLUS: Key Skills in Application of Number; Communication and Information Communication Technology
This course is unit based proving competence in practical and theory work by means of a portfolio. When you have achieved competence in all your units you will then take practical phase tests and health and safety tests.
Special Features
The Level 3 Diploma is for those who are unable to provide suitable evidence of competence from the workplace. It is possible to upgrade this to a full NVQ qualification at a later date if work evidence can be obtained.
People who take this course could go on to..
Advanced Apprenticeships in Construction or Level 4 higher as well as employment within the Construction Industry. The course may also allow you to gain Industry Status as a 'qualified bricklayer' or 'skilled operative' on the CSCS card scheme.
