The programme
This is a practical craft level course which provides a good introduction for those new to horticulture or looking for a career change. It is particularly suitable for adults considering a career change. It covers a range of practical skills and associated theory to equip students with many of the skills needed to work within horticulture or move on to further study.

People who take this course could go on to..
Work as landscape gardeners, garden designers, nursery managers and garden centre managers, or in horticultural education. Students on similar courses have gone on to work at Wisley Gardens, National Trust and botanic gardens and other gardens of national importance, such as the Eden Project.
Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for this course however learners must show an enthusiasm and commitment to the subject at interview and provide acceptable references. Entrants need to show commitment to complete the academic programme which includes assignments and a multiple choice examination.
