Course Title
CIEH Level 3 Award in Food Safety in Catering.
The Programme
Changes in legislation effective from January 2006 have placed greater onus and accountability on anyone in the food business with supervisory responsibility. It is therefore vital that they are equipped with both the knowledge and confidence to do their job effectively.
What You Study
The qualification covers the following topics:
- Legislation
- Supervisory management
- Temperature control (chilling, cooking)
- Cleaning
- Contamination control
- Applying and monitoring good hygiene practices
- Implementing good food safety procedures
- Contributing to the safety training of others

As well as being held at Bishop Burton College this course can be delivered on your own site, using your own equipment ensuring your employees are trained in the environment they are most familiar with and at a time that best suits you.
The assessment method of this course is a series of multiple choice questions.
