The Programme

On this course you will explore the potential of your D-SLR camera, gaining new perspectives and a sound understanding of photography ideas and concepts. You will learn key compositional ideas, explore your cameras potential, learn basic editing techniques and investigate areas of personal interest. This course will help you to develop your skills in order to make the right creative choices.

  • Brief intro to lighting
  • Still life photography
  • Portrait photography- tips for improving
  • Landscape/ nature photography – using the college grounds i.e. walled garden
  • Basic photo editing – using Photoshop, how to store images /cropping/change to black and white / red eye

Entry Requirements

  • Basic or no prior knowledge of photography
  • Must have your own D-SLR camera (this is not a compact camera course!)
