The Programme

This programme aims to develop the practical skills and techniques required to implement sports development and coaching and fitness activities, building on relevant underpinning and scientific knowledge. Special Features

This degree aims to provide a programme that will equip students with the knowledge, skills and understanding to operate effectively within the sports coaching development or fitness industry. The three year programme will develop your practical skills and techniques required to implement sports development coaching and fitness activities, and provide the relevant underpinning theoretical and scientific knowledge. Opportunity is given to acquire specialist additional qualifications to maximise progression into employment within the sport and leisure industry.

Entry Requirements

Successful applicants are normally expected to have a minimum of 200 UCAS points at Advanced Level (100 at A2) or Level 3 Extended Diploma or equivalent plus satisfactory reference plus other any specific criteria agreed at validation. Life experience will also be taken in to account when considering applications from mature students. An admissions assessment may be used in certain circumstances.
