This programme explores aspects of forensic science with particular focus on the assistance of forensic science in criminal investigation. The vocational and specialist delivery will meet the needs of employers and stimulate academic and professional skills through enhancing the understanding of a complex body of knowledge. Special Features
The delivery of the programme will consist of crime scene examinations and laboratory investigations supported with theoretical elements of psychology, criminology, sociology and policing.

Work for a wide range of uniformed services, in particular the Police, but also many other criminal justice and community organisations. The majority of our students stay with us for a further year in order to gain their qualification to a full BA (Hons) degree.
Entry Requirements
Successful applicants are normally expected to have a minimum of 120 UCAS points at Advanced Level (60 at A2) or Level 3 Extended Diploma or Equivalent plus satisfactory reference plus other any specific criteria agreed at validation. Life experience will also be taken in to account when considering applications from mature students. In the interests of widening participation admissions tutors have discretion to admit applicants with lower qualifications if they can show that they are likely to be successful on the course and an admissions assessment may be used in certain circumstances.
