Floristry has developed from a craft activity into an exciting, expressive and essential element in contemporary interior design. It has built relationships with environmental art in terms of philosophy and practice. A renewed, media-led interest in design, and the emergence of a design-literate market, provides new and exciting opportunities for young floral designers. From high street retailing to lavish event design, from table displays to bridal bouquets, from marketing to management, twenty-first century floristry is funky and fashionable.
